Staples introduces the Easy button campaign in the United States. The product was developed in response to customers asking for it - and making their own homemade Easy Buttons.

More than 3 million easy buttons have been sold since the launch in 2005. Thousands of homemade Easy Button movies have been posted on You Tube.

Easy Button Raises Money for Children’s Education in Latin America.

The Easy Button was launched in the European Contract business in early 2009 with the main business supplies catalog. To make the Easy Button campaign even more meaningful, we offered profits from the sale of Easy Buttons to one of our charity partners to support a program focused on education, in line with the mission of Staples Foundation for Learning.

For every Easy Button sold in 2009, we donated one euro to Plan International. For this initiative as well as others, Staples has contributed to Plan International’s Escuela Nueva project in South America to support children’s education, giving them access to schooling or supplies. We share with Plan the idea that education paves the way to a better future.

The 2010 main catalog will launch soon, highlighting our new Easy Button partnership. Stay tuned for additional information about this fun initiative!
